Network-Coded Cooperative LoRa Network With D2D Communication

We evaluate the outage probability and energy efficiency (EE) of a LoRa network when end-devices (EDs) are capable exchanging messages with device-to-device (D2D) technology. Our proposal is to assess performance operating under concept network-coded cooperation (NCC), where EDs transmitting linear combinations more than one frame (including frames another ED), performed over non-binary finite field. consider both connection collision probabilities modelling an ED, as well realistic power consumption model EE. results indicate that proposed scheme, which we refer NCC-LoRa, provides considerable gains in terms EE compared regular network, even considering additional D2D communication.
